Lauren A. (If It Were Me 2)

This is Lauren’s third year in STP, her favorite roles have included “Julia” in Daddy Long Legs, and “Queen MeMe” in The Empress’ New Clothes. Her hobbies include dancing, singing, and acting and she wants to be in the field of musical theatre or the business industry in the future. Lauren has enjoyed helping with props for this production. Lauren wants to tell the world “Jesus loves us and He died for us so that if we have put our faith in Him, we get to spend eternity with Him in heaven.”

Emily B. (Dianna)

This is Emily’s sixth year in STP, and her favorite role was “A Citizen” in Around the World in 80 Days. This year Emily has learned to “use my abilities to glorify God while I am able.” Her hobbies include singing and art. In the future, Emily wants to be an interior designer. Something Emily wants to tell the world about Jesus is “You don’t have to be enough on your own, because we all need Jesus to help us and save us.”

Savanna B. (Jacqueline)

In her nine years in STP, her current role is her favorite, but other top contenders are “Jess” in The Prodigals and “The Fiery Furnace” in Daniel. Her favorite things about being in Beauty and the Beast are getting to dance on the table and singing “The Beast Within.” Her hobbies include painting, playing piano, and talking A LOT! Savanna wants to be a lapidarist in the future. This year, Savanna has learned that “ultimately, other people’s opinions of me don’t matter. The only one that matters is God’s; I need to live my life following his commands and worship him, even if that makes me “different.”

Bella C. (Della)

This is Bella’s first year in STP! Some of her hobbies include reading, creative writing, baking, and playing soccer. When she grows up, she wants to be a teacher or a missionary. One thing Bella has enjoyed this year is the unity, fellowship, and atmosphere of her STP class. One thing she has learned from being in Beauty and the Beast is “innocence does not mean that a child can’t know God and His love.” Bella wants to tell the world of “His promises, His love, and His imminent return.”

Hayden D. (Child #1, If It Were Me 8)

Hayden has been in STP for four years, and her favorite role was “The Duchess” in Through the Looking Glass. During this year’s production of Beauty and the Beast, she has enjoyed “seeing how the cast grows more into all of their roles,” and she has learned that God is always working in our lives. In her spare time, Hayden likes singing, hanging out with friends, and cheerleading. In the future, she wants to be a psychiatrist. Hayden wants to tell the world that Jesus has unconditional love.

Sammie D. (If It Were Me 6)

This is Sammie’s second year in STP, and her favorite role is her current one! Her favorite thing about being in Beauty and the Beast is “being able to act alongside such an amazing cast and being able to praise God at the same time.” In her free time, Sammie enjoys playing video games and drawing. In the future, Sammie wants to be “whatever God wants me to be.” Sammie wants to tell the world to trust God, and He’ll provide for you. 

Liam F. (Bernard)

This is Liam’s second year in STP, how favorite role was “The Troubadour” in The Emperors New Clothes. Liam has enjoyed being the sidekick in this production, he also enjoys spending time with his friends at STP. Liam enjoys sports and playing musical instruments, he hopes to be a famous musician when he grows up. Liam wants to tell the world to believe in Jesus, and that He is good and faithful. 

Emma L. (If It Were Me 5)

In the six years she has been in STP, Emma’s favorite role was “Tula” in Cinderella. This year Emma says she had learned about God’s love and had made many new friends! Her hobbies include playing the ukulele and reading. She wants to be a special needs teacher or a missionary when she grows up. Emma wants to tell the world “Jesus is the ONE TRUE ONLY way, and that even when we can’t always feel Him, we should believe that He’s there because He will never leave us or forsake us!”

Hannah L. (Constance)

Hannah has been involved with STP for eight years, and her favorite role was “Grace” in Cinderella. Some of her hobbies include music/singing, theatre, and art. Hannah wants to go into design and move to NYC to pursue a career on Broadway. One thing Hannah has learned this year is that “many times God does not give us easy situations if He is trying to teach us or grow us. Many times He lets us struggle so that we can call out to Him for help and rely on Him when just our own strength is not enough.”

Ashley Kate M. (Mrs. Overby)

Ashley Kate has been involved with STP for seven years, and her favorite role was the “multitude of characters” in Around the World in 80 Days. In her free time, Ashley Kate likes to hang out with friends, bringing genuine smiles to people’s faces, photography, hiking, wakeboarding, and laughing…a lot! Ashley Kate wants to tell the world that “we serve a good God who is worthy to be praised (Psalm 145:3). He is perfect (Psalm 18:30), full of mercy, (Psalm 86:15) and we are forever loved by Him (Psalm 136:26)!”

Lily M. (Elise)

This is Lily’s second year at STP, and her favorite role is her current one. This year Lily has liked meeting her cast mates and getting know her character family. Her hobbies include singing, guitar, and photography. Lily says “Rehearsing the role of Elise has definitely been challenging at times, due to the young age of her character. But it’s been fun studying the body language and ways of speaking as a 10-year-old.”

Anna P. (If It Were Me 4)

In her six years at STP, Anna’s favorite role was “Rachel” in The Secret Garden. In her free time, Anna enjoys crafting and sketching, she hopes to be an illustrator in the future. One thing she has learned from her role this year is that “there is no need to try to impress others. Just be yourself.” She has enjoyed getting to know the cast and making new friends this year. Anna wants to tell the world, “that [Jesus] loves and cares for everyone, no matter what their circumstances are.”

Hannah P. (If It Were Me 3) 

Hannah has been involved with STP for six years, her favorite role was “Townsperson” in Around the World in 80 Days. This year, she has enjoyed learning the choreography in Beauty and the Beast. Hannah enjoys swimming outside of STP, and in the future, she wants to do something in the science field. Hannah wants to tell the world that Jesus “is good and is always there when you need Him most.”

Andrew R. (Thomas)

This is Andrew’s first year in STP, and Thomas is his favorite role so far! One thing he has learned this year is “how to have a strong and consistent amount of energy!” In the future, Andrew would like to be a chef, but for now, he likes reading, collecting movie posters, and theatre. Andrew has enjoyed “making new friends and telling this beautiful story” this year. Andrew wants to tell the world that “that no one is beyond the redemption of Jesus! (just like this story tells)!”

Nathaniel R. (Mr. Overby)

In his seven years at STP Nathaniel’s favorite role was Mr. Hempseed in The Scarlet Pimpernel. Some of his hobbies include video games, building computers, woodworking, and spending time with his family. In the future, he wants to be “A mighty warrior for God like David, but I don’t want to be ruddy I want to be olive; or work as a mechatronics engineer.” Nathaniel wants to tell the world that “If you are saved, the same power that rose Jesus from the dead, lives in you; stop walking around looking grumpy-live like the resurrection power is in you, there is a world full of people who need to see it.”

Colin S. (The Beast)

In his four years at STP, his current role is his favorite! One thing that he has learned from his role is that “it’s not good to be sad and keep it inside and not tell anyone.” In the future, Colin wants to be a “pirate helicopter pilot prince,” but for now he likes playing ultimate frisbee. Colin wants to tell the world that “Jesus loves you and he’s never going to give up on you, even when you feel at your worst.”

Elizabeth S. (Lucinda)

In her five years at STP, Elizabeth most enjoyed being a townsperson in Jesus. This year Elizabeth says she has “been stretched out of my comfort zone to do things that I was hesitant to try. In the end, they turned out to be good experiences, and they helped me to be bold to try new things.” In the future, Elizabeth wants to go to college to be a nurse, but for now, she enjoys swimming and playing with kids. Elizabeth wants to tell the world “Jesus is the answer to our brokenness and discontent and we need to take every opportunity we have to share the love of Christ with others.”

Josie S. (Kathleen)

This is Josie’s second year in STP, and her favorite role so far is “Esperer” in Sleeping Beauty. This year, Josie has enjoyed “Mastering the art of being still, and seeing the gospel shine through every part of the show!” In the future, Josie wants to be a paramedic or an ER doctor, for now, in her spare time, Josie enjoys singing, acting, playing guitar, working out, rock climbing, running and swimming. Josie wants to tell the world “That [Jesus] the only way and that He transforms you!”

Libby S. (Christianna)

This is Libby’s sixth year in STP, in that time, some of her favorite roles have included “Alice” in Through the Looking Glass, “The Sea” in Around the World in 80 Days, and her current role. Some of her hobbies include musical theatre, taking care of her plants, and doing yoga. Libby would like to pursue a career in musical theatre. One thing Libby has learned from being in Beauty and the Beast is that “it is so important to look at the good in people, even when they don’t make it easy.”

Zach S. (Malcolm)

In his five years at STP, Zach’s favorite role was a “rapper/dancer” in Around the World in 80 Days. In his spare time, he likes acting, sports, and hanging out with friends. Zach thinks he may want to be a PE teacher when he grows up. From his role this year, Zach has learned to always care for your family. Zach wants to tell the world that “even when it’s real hard and you don’t know why, that He s always there, and will be with you every step of the way. Because when you hit rock bottom there’s only one way, and that’s up, and we can only do it with Him.”

Eric W. (Daniel)

This is Eric’s fourth year in STP, and his favorite role was “Lee” in last year’s production of Audience of One. In his spare time, Eric enjoys music (playing keyboard and singing), and reading about and watching movies. One thing Eric has learned from his role is to “pursue my crushes with finesse and discretion.” In the future, Eric wants to be an elementary teacher. Eric wants to tell the world that Jesus loves everyone!

Erynn W. (Jillian)

In her eight years at STP, Erynn’s favorite role was “Little Cossette” in Les Misérables. Some of her hobbies include art and eating goldfish. In the future, Erynn wants to be the crazy grandma that everyone loves or a pediatrician. One of her favorite things about being in Beauty and the Beast is “to be constantly surrounded by the idea of where true love is found.” One thing she has learned this year is “how important and effective it is to pray for the ones closest to you that may seem unreachable.”
