Our Fall 2020 – Spring 2021 theater class registration is now OPEN to the public!

Before You Register

We would ask you to pray and think about the following before registering:

  1. CONSIDER PRAYERFULLY: Only register if you are SURE God is calling your child to be in STP this year.  Don’t register just to save a space!  One year we had more than 20 students drop out as September approached.  Please understand that this adversely affects our choice of productions and budget, and takes away spaces from those whom God might be calling to STP.
  2. CONSIDER SCHEDULES: It is important to consider both the class time and production schedule for the class in which you register. Things to consider…important family events such as graduations and weddings, school testing schedules, athletic commitments, and other activities in which your student is involved.
  3. REGARDING FEES: The STP registration fee and any monies paid to STP are non-refundable once they are submitted.
  4. AGES AND CLASSES:  Students must be 13 by the first day of classes in order to register for a 13 and Up class, but students who are 13 or 14 may remain in a younger class if they so choose. Please note the time change for the Tuesday Homeschool class.
  5. WHAT TO EXPECT: Each year, every class will work toward producing a full-length musical.  Classes meet weekly, and include a gospel-centered devotion, and instruction in voice, acting and choreography, depending on the director’s lesson plan for the week.

Additional Class Options

Meg Hanna will be offering a masks-required acting class for ages 12+ on Mondays from 1:00-2:00 pm on-site. This is a fall semester class and will be $75 per month (September-November/$225 total). Her class description is as follows:

Want to dive deeper into the craft of acting? Each week, you’ll join Miss Meg to learn more about stage presence, diction, character development, range, stakes, and many more great skills through fun acting warm-ups and exercises. Each student will have the ability to showcase a variety of skills by the end of the semester that include monologue presentations and physical acting techniques. Whether you are a beginner or looking to brush up on your skills, this class is an excellent way to spend your Monday afternoon during the school year.

If you would like to continue to be a part of STP, but have reservations about attending class on-site, please consider this virtual class option (recommended for ages 12+, younger with approval from instructor):

Are you looking for an immersive acting experience from home this semester? Over the course of 11 weeks, join Miss Meg in learning about developing your skills as an actor and exploring how to produce material virtually. In this class, we’ll cover various memorization techniques, monologue workshops, and physical acting techniques that help translate storytelling through screens.

This is a fall semester class and will be $75 per month (September-November/$225 total). It is a LIVE virtual class that will meet on Wednesdays from 1:00-2:00 pm.

Registration fees ($150 per student) apply for both classes. A weekly devotional will also be included.
